We do however have a guest toilet at your disposal and of course the restaurant/reception area will be suitable to store your luggage.

This apartment is on an upper level and is accessed by means of a lift, with a stairway for the more able bodied visitor. The doorway to the lift measures 80cms with a length of 114cms. (Please check your wheelchair dimensions. You may find that some visitors find it better to remove the leg rests to gain better entry into the lift.)

The large bedrooms all have separate air conditioning units. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a roll-in shower and grabs rails throughout with drop down bars on each side of the toilet.  It has been very carefully thought out, with the main emphasis being on accessibility for the disabled guests. The main bedroom has patio doors leading to a covered balcony and the other two bedrooms have a balcony overlooking the pool. These two bedrooms are also of a large size.

Along the corridor from the main bedroom there is a second smaller guest bathroom. This again has a roll in shower with grab rails for ease of transfers etc.

The apartment also has a third toilet/washbasin, but this is only a small room and not wheelchair accessible. In total the apartment has 3 toilets.

The kitchen is a fully functional one with modern cupboards and units as well as all the main appliances, making life all that bit easier for our guests. It is complete with a dishwasher, electric cooker and hob with extractor, microwave, fridge and washing machine, etc.

Once again, space is of importance and here there is room to manoeuvre. The kitchen has a door leading to the balcony that overlooks the pool area, as well as the fragrant orange and lemon trees

The lounge is spacious throughout, lots of room for a wheelchair user to get around with no obstacles in your way. It is furnished throughout with excellent inside and outside dining area and seating. On entering the apartment you find yourself in a relaxed, roomy atmosphere. This lounge has a sofa bed, coffee table and chairs and patio doors leading either to a level patio area or veranda. There is plenty of room to manoeuvre if you are a wheelchair user. There is a wall mounted remote control TV, which again makes for more space. The bedroom has air-conditioning and 2 single beds.

You will immediately notice that all doors in the accommodation are made so much wider for ease of access for the less able bodied visitor.

The entrance to the level access roll in shower room is through a wide door which opens outwards.  It has a metal kick board along the bottom so you don’t have to worry about getting into and out of the room and perhaps damaging it with your foot plates. This I feel makes it less of a worry for the wheelchair user.

In the roll in shower room, you will immediately notice that it is large enough to enable you to move around freely if you are a wheelchair user. There is a wall mounted shower seat and grab rails around the shower area, these are obviously an important choice as they will help when showering and dressing etc.  The toilet has drop down rails at the left hand side and also the right hand side for personal preference when transferring. If not required obviously these can be folded up. There is a wash basin which there has a large mirror with an additional light above. There is also an extra-large wall mounted towel rail for your convenience.

The bedroom is once again very spacious. It has twinbeds and multiple wardrobe/cupboard space as well as a vanity area. The light switches are all placed at a convenient level in here and also throughout the apartments. There is an interconnecting door in some of the apartments, where there is yet two more beds, and a second roll in fully adapted shower room, kitchenette etc.

In the kitchenette you will find a dining table and chairs. In each studio you will find a roll in shower room, grab rails, accessible vanity units etc.  The shower rooms have wall mounted shower seats. The studio has air-conditioning

The level access shower rooms have grab rails in various locations to assist with standing/dressing or for peace of mind for the guests.

The toilet itself has grab rails on either side which allows a left or right handed transfer for ease for the disabled visitor or those with reduced mobility.

All doors, either entrance or interior are between 90 and 110cm wide (standard doors are approximately 70cms wide). Again, this makes life so much easier for all concerned.

Space is of importance as anybody who uses a wheelchair will understand.  Here at the studios, space is not a problem.

There is plenty of room for manoeuvrability throughout, and this ensures that both the wheelchair users and any other visitor enjoy the comfort of their surroundings.

It is essential, we feel, that the wheelchair user feels at ease and at home in our studios.

We have pool facing studios (nos 5, 6, 7 or 8) as well as garden facing studios where perhaps a visitor would prefer to have a little more shade. (nos 2, 3 or 4)  These have a sheltered patio area and prove to be ‘the’ place to relax and unwind on an evening. Studios numbered 6 and 7, and 2 and 3 have interconnecting doors.

All studios have equipped kitchenettes complete with microwave, kettle, fridge and utensils etc
